It really is neat to hear my younger munchkins reading books. It also means that I have to be careful which anime I’m watching as the subtitles are now fair game. ^_^

You would be watching something that the kiddos shouldn’t read? Say it ain’t so!!
We struggled with teaching our older daughter to read. One day we “took a trip to Costco”, stopping for Breakfast on the way. We asked our daughter to read the name of the restaurant. She struggled for about a minute sounding out “Di”…”Dis”…”Dis-Ne”…”Dis-Nee-L”…’DISNEYLAND!” She has been an avid fan of reading every since that day.
Well… you know they don’t always used the choicest language in some of the anime.
